Education & Experience

A holder of Diploma in Public Administration and an Advanced Diploma in Law from MARA Institute of Technology, Dato’ Haji Adnan began his career in the law industry well-equipped with extensive knowledge and experience, having previously worked as an enforcement officer at the Employees’ Provident Fund.

Following the completion of his pupillage at Messrs. Yacob & Rakan Rakan, Klang under the supervision of Tn. Haji Yacob Abd Karim, Dato’ Haji Adnan was accepted as an Advocate & Solicitor of High Court of Malaya in June, 1994. He then actively pursued his legal profession at Yacob & Rakan Rakan in Shah Alam as a Senior Partner for seven years before forming his own legal firm under the name MESSRS. ADNAN RAHIM & CO. in 2002.

Dato’ Haji Adnan’s career as a lawyer continues to be propelled further by his successful obtainment of a Diploma in Syariah Legal Practise (“DSLP”) from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2008, granting him a license to practice as a Syarie Lawyer in Selangor.

Practice Areas

Years’ worth of accumulated practices and experiences have contributed greatly to Dato’ Adnan’s impressive professional portfolio; he is very well-read in property transactions, Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring, Joint Ventures, Company, Contracts, Sale and Purchase of Lands, Construction Contracts, Corporate Advisory, Sale and Purchase of Vessel, Sale of Shares and Islamic Banking.

Further, he is also experienced in handling general litigation matters such as bankruptcy, insurance, employment, defamation, company restructuring and construction and criminal matters.

Last but not least, Dato’ Adnan has represented clients in Syariah matters in Selangor including Muslim Divorce Petition, Children and Adoption (Hadhanah & Ar-Radha’ah) Proceedings, Administration of Estates and Trusts, Matrimonial Claims and Ancillary Relief.
